Hardscaping and pavers
Pavers that stay flat through a Montana winter.
Hardscaping and pavers are what we love to build. A patio is only as good as what is under it, so every one starts with excavation and a compacted base deep enough to stand up to frost heave.

What we do
- 01
Paver patios
Laid on a compacted gravel base, screeded sand and edge restraint, then locked with joint sand.
- 02
Walkways and steps
From the driveway to the door, or out to the garden, at a grade that sheds water.
- 03
Retaining walls
Block walls that hold a slope and give you flat ground to use. Seat walls too.
- 04
Fire pits
Built in block to match the patio, with a gathering space around them.
- 05
Drainage designed in
Every surface pitched so water runs away from the house and off the patio.
- 06
Sprinklers around it
We reroute or add heads so the lawn around a new patio still gets watered.

How it goes
- 1
Walk the space
We look at the ground, the slope and how you want to use it.
- 2
Design and price
Shape, size, pattern and color, with a clear price.
- 3
Dig, base, build
Excavation, compacted base, then the pavers or the wall, finished clean.
Straight answers
Questions we get
Why do some paver patios heave or sink?
Almost always the base. Too thin, not compacted, or no edge restraint, and frost moves it. We dig deep enough and compact in lifts.
Can you build a patio and fix the sprinklers around it?
Yes. We move or add heads so the lawn around the new hardscape stays green.
Do you build retaining walls?
Yes, block retaining walls and seat walls.
